Selecting the right nicotine strength varies from smoker to smoker, if you are new to vaping it is important that you find the right strength for you.
This is particularly important if you are still craving those pesky cigarettes!
Below is a general guide that will give you a good starting point. Don’t be afraid to experiment with different nicotine levels to ensure you are starting out on the level for you.
As a rule of thumb, the fewer cigarettes you smoke, the lower the nicotine strength you will need. However, while the guide above is a great starting point, it is important to note that everyone’s cravings are different.
You need to experiment with different flavour liquids as well as nicotine strengths to see what works best for you. The best way to do this is to purchase smaller bottles of e-liquid until you find your ideal strength.
If you find that you are vaping and still feel the need to smoke, you may need to increase the nicotine strength. Likewise, if you feel you are getting too much nicotine, reduce the strength slightly until you find the right strength for you.
Nicotine Levels for Sub-ohm Vaping
Sub-ohm vapers typically choose to vape juice with a lower nicotine percentage. With these devices, more volume of vapor is produced, and as a result, more nicotine is ingested.
Due to this, individuals who use Sub-ohm devices can generally reach their “nicotine sweet spot” with a lower nicotine level, even if they were heavy smokers in the past.
Many Sub-ohm vapers would recommend 6mg e-liquid to start off with. Even if you are a heavy smoker, anything higher will be too harsh and it will put you off straight away!
